Global Tipping Points is three-part series on today's global challenges Katherine Brown will be talking about the power of the US News Media to engage in informal diplomacy through their reporting. Based on extensive interviews, over the course of 8 years, her research shows how US media has shaped perceptions about the war in Afghanistan to people within and outside the country. Also, she will discuss how US media has shaped the relationship between the two countries since the 2001 invasion and overthrow of the Taliban government.
