Name: New Hampshire Designer Showhouse
Date: August 6, 2018
Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT
Event Description:

Built by a wealthy shoe manufacturer, and then home to New Hampshire's 74th Governor, the Frank E. Anderson House was most recently a beloved private girl’s high school called Mount St. Mary. Now owned by Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, the house is frequently a venue for their concerts and lectures. Built in 1906, this rare example of Beaux Arts Classical design features an array of original details unparalled in our time. From the red brick, marble and slate exterior with iconic columns and iron balustrades to an interior so grand, you can easily envision a time when this home was in its full glory, a center for gracious living, arts and culture. For one magical month, it will be again!

Interior designers from all over New England will reimagine various spaces within the house; from the Grand Foyer with a sweeping staircase, to the Gentleman’s Lair with intricately carved woodwork and the charming, light-filled upstairs bedrooms with original fireplaces. Throughout the month of August 2018, visitors will be able to tour this magnificent mansion, with proceeds benefiting both Thomas More College and the Community Hospice House.
