Derryfield is offering an opportunity to a detail-oriented, systems-driven individual to join its 5-person team as an Philanthroy Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Coordinator will manage Derryfield’s constituent database, gift processing, and sending acknowledgment letters; manage financial reporting and serve as liaison to the school’s Business Office; speak with donors around the execution of their gifts to the school; provide event planning assistance and coordination; provide support for mailings, pledge reminders, and events; create content for social media and digital marketing, and serve as office manager for the Advancement Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Weekly gift entry and appropriate acknowledgement for annual and capital
Create content for social media channels (Facebook & Instagram), digital
marketing campaigns, and online stories.
Manage the Senior Derryfield Fund Challenge.
Conduct prospect research and create donor profiles for volunteers.
Provide support and coordination for events including running lists, creating
and sending invitations (print and digital), day of logistical support, and active
member of the events team.
Process monthly reports and balance with the Business Office.
Run regular reports for constituent lists and fundraising dashboards.
Pull lists for the annual report, appeals and event invitations as well as keep and
maintain list criteria.
Assist Director of Advancement in tracking office expenses.
Support Advancement Committee and Campaign Steering Committee by taking
notes at all meeting.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Successful candidates will have a proven track record managing detail-oriented systems, experience working with financial data and tracking, experience using a complex database, experience (either paid or volunteer) planning and managing events, and a willingness to join a high-functioning and collaborative team to perform in a wide variety of roles on behalf of The Derryfield School.
Must possess a desire to learn and grow, have a sense of humor, and be self motivated.
Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office products preferred.
