Future In Sight Welcomes Gene Martin as the Director of Development

CONCORD, NH (March 10, 2017) - Future In Sight - formally known as the New Hampshire Association for the Blind - has welcomed Gene Martin as the new Director of Development. Future In Sight serves those who are blind and visually impaired by helping them develop the skills to live independent, fulfilling lives at home, work, school, and in the community.
 
"Joining the Future In Sight team is both personally and professionally rewarding,” said Martin. “I saw their work firsthand when my grandmother, who was legally blind, greatly benefited from their services. She was a fiercely proud and independent woman, and living on her own was so important to her. Future In Sight recognized that, helping her adapt to living on her own, and she was incredibly grateful for the freedom that provided. I look forward to bringing new innovations to our fundraising efforts and implementing new approaches to ensure we continue to serve people of all ages for years to come.”
 
Martin joins Future In Sight with nearly a decade of experience in fundraising, communications, event logistics, and program management on state political campaigns and as the top ?aide to the New Hampshire State Senate Minority Leader. Future in Sight in based in Concord and serves residents throughout New Hampshire and parts of New England.
 
“Gene brings pertinent experience and passion to our organization at an exciting time,” said Future In Sight President and CEO David Morgan. "He joins us as we launch a new brand that better represents our work. We have adapted to changing needs and demographics, offering programs for people living with a wide range of visual disabilities, ranging from newborns to the elderly. I am confident that Gene will enable Future In Sight to achieve its goals this year and beyond.”
 
Martin received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Plymouth State University and currently serves as the Chair-Elect on their Alumni Association Board of Directors. Gene lives in his hometown of Manchester with his wife, Erin.
