Summit partners with Aurum Recovery Group

Weare, NH – April 5, 2017 –   Today, Summit Computer Services announced its strategic partnership with Aurum Recovery Services in a joint effort to protect our environment and conserve natural resources by promoting the safe and secure recycling of unwanted electronic devices.

Advancements in technology render many electronics products obsolete in a relatively short period of time, creating a large surplus of unwanted devices, or “e-waste.”  Disposal of e-waste in landfills presents a risk to human and environmental health, as these products frequently contain hazardous materials, such as lead and mercury.

The precious metals used in electronics exist in limited quantities in very specific geographic regions of the world. When these metals are extracted and used in electronics manufacturing, they are geographically dispersed throughout the world in very minute quantities. When these metals are exhausted at the source, they are gone forever. As our households, institutions, and businesses become increasingly dependent on disposable electronics, it is more important than ever that we all take responsibility for properly recycling them.

Aurum Recovery Group is an electronics recycling facility located in Goffstown, NH, that specializes in dismantling, sorting, and shredding electronics and equipment.  They maximize their value and recoverability while upholding the highest environmental, health and safety standards.  Their secure processes destroy all data on hard drives and other information storage units under 24/7 video surveillance, and provide Certificates of Destruction.

Summit is happy to pick up small quantities of unwanted devices from our customers and deliver them to Aurum for processing.  Just give us a call at 603-513-1805, or open a service ticket by sending an email to support@summitcomp.net
