St. Mary’s Bank Recognizes Employee Volunteer Achievements

MANCHESTER, NH (February 14, 2019) — St. Mary’s Bank, the nation’s first credit union, recognized employee volunteer milestone achievements in 2018 at a recent reception at their headquarters on McGregor Street in Manchester.

Forty-seven individuals were recognized for their community involvement with 17 individuals achieving 25 or more hours, 19 individuals achieving 50 or more hours, nine individuals achieving 100 hours or more, and two individuals achieving over 200 hours of volunteer service in 2018.

“That’s exceptional,” said Ron Covey, St. Mary’s Bank Chief Executive Officer. “It truly reflects the importance of volunteerism to St. Mary’s and the impact we have on the communities we serve.”

Overall in 2018, 151 employees volunteered for 97 different local nonprofit organizations for a total of 5,049 volunteer hours, up from 89 employees and 3,152 volunteer hours in 2017. Credit unions were built on a foundation of people helping people, and the employees of St. Mary’s Bank live out that principle with their outstanding dedication to community.
