KEYNOTE ADDRESS: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH WALKABILITY with JEFF SPECK, CITY PLANNER AND AUTHOR

SPONSORED BY: ORACLE
In partnership with the New Hampshire Institute of Art, we are excited to welcome Jeff Speck as our keynote speaker at this year’s EDI Summit. How can “walkability” enhance a city’s quality of life and promote economic development? Walkability expert, influential city planner, and best-selling author Jeff Speck will explore this topic and highlight some of the opportunities Manchester can pursue to drive economic development through creating a more walkable and connected community. With the continued growth of the Millyard, downtown housing and entertainment options, and the importance of attracting and retaining young professionals and families to Manchester, Speck’s presentation is perfectly timed as Manchester considers its vision for the future.

DRIVING ECONOMIC & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH GRASSROOTS LEADERSHIP
SPONSORED BY: TUFTS HEALTH FREEDOM PLAN
In communities across the country, grassroots coalitions of citizens are forming to lead and drive major initiatives to redevelop downtowns, reshape school systems, or increase civic engagement. Leaders of local grassroots coalitions will share their insights on what makes these initiatives work and how every member of the community can play a role in their success.

MAJOR PROJECTS UPDATE: ENERGY, HIGHWAYS, AND REDEVELOPMENT
SPONSORED BY: MANCHESTER BOSTON REGIONAL AIRPORT
Across Greater Manchester, major infrastructure and economic development projects are underway or breaking ground. These projects will have a transformative impact on every aspect of our region, whether on our energy infrastructure, roadways and transportation systems, or redevelopment of new commercial and retail centers.
