GMCC Board of Directors Welcomes New Members

Four New Board Members to Bring Leadership, Experience and Energy to Chamber Board
Manchester, NH (February 12, 2016) – The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) is proud to announce four new members to its Board of Directors: Peter C. Lachance, Howe, Riley & Howe Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Patricia A. Lynott (Patty), Executive Vice President & Provost, SNHU; Patrick Tufts, President & CEO of Granite United Way; and Enoch F. Willard (Nick), Manchester Chief of Police .
Peter C. Lachance has been a CPA in NH since 2003. Prior to this he spent eight years in the actuarial field as both an analyst and later as Technology Manager. In 2002 Lachance joined Howe, Riley & Howe, later becoming a partner in 2013. Lachance is currently a Board Member at Alphaloft and member of Entrepreneur Forum Committee at the NH High Technology Council. Past nonprofit roles include the Finance Committee of Greater Manchester YMCA and Chairman of Alphaloft.
Patricia A. Lynott, Executive Vice President & Provost at SNHU, has been practicing innovative leadership in higher education for 30 years. Before joining SNHU in 2007 she served as Dean of Graduate and Continuing Education at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois and was founding Director of Elmhurst Partners. Lynott is President of Alpha Sigma Lambda at SNHU, a member of the NH Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and is a board member of the World Affairs Council of NH and America’s Credit Union Museum.
Patrick Tufts joined Granite United Way in 2005 as President and CEO. Under his leadership, the Granite United Way evolved into a collaborative merger of six separate United Way branches that serves 80% of NH and large portion of Vermont. Prior to arriving in New Hampshire, Patrick was Vice President of Resource Development at the United Way in Greater Portland, Maine. Patrick is a Board Member and the Governance Chair for NH Center for Nonprofits as well a member of the SEE Science Center Academy. Previously, Tufts was Chairman of Seniors Count and Co-Chair of the 10-year Plan to End Homelessness in Manchester and Concord.
Enoch “Nick” F. Willard, served in the U.S. Air Force as security policeman graduating first in his class at the Non-commissioned Officer Preparatory School. In 1989 he became a full-time certified police officer in NH, first serving in Sanborton and then joining the Manchester Police Department in 1992. Willard was then promoted to Captain and assigned as the Investigative Division Commander in 2011, and in 2013 to Assistant Chief of Police, later being nominated to Chief of Police by Mayor Gatsas and confirmed by the full board of Alderman. Chief Willard has twice been the recipient of the Department’s Honorable Service Award due to the rescue of a 7-year old kidnap victim and the lead investigator in the Officer Michael Brigg’s homicide investigation.
