The 44th Annual World’s Championship Chili Cookoff will be held in downtown Manchester at Veteran’s Park Friday October 1st – 3rd. This is a premier event with participants traveling to Manchester from across the country to compete. The event will be a family friendly event showcasing the very best that Manchester has to offer with chili testing, live entertainment, food and craft vendors, and games and activities. This is the first time the New England region has hosted this event and we are estimating between 25,000 – 50,000 people will attend the cookoff over the course of the three-day event.
The 2010 World’s Championship Chili Cookoff has been made possible by the International Chili Society which sanctions official chili cookoffs worldwide. All winners of ICS cookoffs qualify to compete for cash prizes and awards. The winner of the World's Championship Chili Cookoff will receive a Grand Prize check for $25,000. The ICS is the largest food contest/festival organization in the world and has been featured on the food network.
