The Metro Center Housing Coalition proudly presents an event focused on the current status, needs, and future outlook of the housing market in the Greater Manchester Region. This in-depth program will address such critical topics as:
· How is the current economic crisis impacting the credit environment and what does it mean for homebuyers and housing developers?
· What new home ownership challenges are facing homebuyers as a result of the economy and the tightened lending environment?
· How can communities address this challenge and ensure their workforce is properly housed in this economic climate?
· What expectations should first time homebuyers and renters have when diving into this housing market?
We have an excellent panel of speakers lined up for this event?
· Robert Tourigny, Executive Director, Neighborworks Greater Manchester will discuss the challenges facing homebuyers and developers in this new lending environment
· Andre Garron, Director of Community Development, Town of Londonderry will offer a town perspective on how to approach the workforce housing issue
· Bill Caselden, Great Bridge Properties will offer the perspective of a private workforce housing developer
· Sabrina Granville, VP of Human Resources, Elliot Hospital will offer the perspective of a major regional employer struggling to fill open positions.
We also will have a special guest speaker who will share her story and the trials and tribulations she and her husband faced when purchasing a home. The event will be moderated by George Reagan of the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority.
