Dr. Daphne Kenyon, an economist and visiting fellow at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in Cambridge, Mass., will be the keynote speaker at the Access Greater Manchester Annual Meeting from 3 to 5pm, Monday, Feb. 3, at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.
The Access Greater Manchester Annual Meeting is an opportunity for development professionals and other business leaders, municipal staff, and elected and appointed officials from across the region to gather together to network and learn. The meeting, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Capital Regional Development Council and Elm Grove Companies. In addition to Dr. Kenyon’s remarks, the meeting will also feature a presentation by Regional Economic Development Specialist Andre Garron on UNH Cooperative Extension’s new Business Expansion and Retention Program, as well as a recap of Access Greater Manchester’s work in 2013 and a look at its 2014 action plan.
An initiative of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission and the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development, Access Greater Manchester is a regional economic development initiative whose mission is to encourage the communities of the Greater Manchester region to look beyond individual borders, foster positive relationship building and cooperation among individual communities, to promote and drive economic development initiatives for sustainability of the region, and to collectively promote the region as a desirable place to “live, work, and play.”
