Date: April 12, 2015
Time: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Our special exhibition, Still Life: 1970s Photorealism, highlights many aspects of the 1970s, including drug use. Join Cheryl Willkie, Senior Vice President of Farnum Center, Donna Marston, author of Peeling the Onion and founder of Families Sharing Without Shame, and others as they discuss the current national and local drug epidemic that is happening across all socio-economic backgrounds. Hear stories of survivors and learn how to tell if someone you know may be using drugs and what local resources are available. Following the conversation, tour the special exhibition and join Farnum clients celebrating the art they created in response to art on view at the Currier. Free with Museum general admission.
