Topics include: - Examine federal and state laws impacting employee discipline issues. - Consider discipline issues in light of disability and leave laws - Learn best practices in documentation of employee misconduct. - Review effective performance evaluation methods. - Develop a fair approach to determining if discipline is appropriate. - Obtain discipline and discharge checklists. - Identify distinctions between “at-will” and “for cause.” - Explore benefitsof separation agreements and releases.
