Granite United Way’s 2014 Day of Caring & Campaign Kick Off
Wednesday, September 10, 2014
Kick Off 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM
Stark Park, Manchester, NH
Join us for our Annual Day of Caring and Campaign Kick Off Event at Stark Park from 7:30 am - 8:30 am for some food, music, and raffles before you head out to your volunteer project!
Day of Caring connects participating non-profit organizations in the Salem, Derry, and Manchester areas with volunteers from local business and community groups in order to accomplish a community service project for the day.
Participation in the Day of Caring provides an opportunity for building relationships among company employees while introducing them to United Way’s impact and importance in the community. The volunteers get to see first-hand how funds donated to the United Way as part of the annual workplace campaign are utilized.
If you are interested in volunteering for Day of Caring contact Val Guy at (603)224-2595 ext. 226 or email her at Val.Guy@graniteuw.org to sign up.
Shifts are available from 9am – 12pm, 1pm – 4pm or all day (9am – 4pm).
Teams can range in size from one to 10. Each team member will receive a LIVE UNITED t-shirt.
Day of Caring will take place rain or shine, as most projects can still be completed regardless of weather conditions.
Day of Caring is a great way to promote the spirit and value of volunteerism, increase awareness of local human service programming and demonstrate what people working together for the common good can accomplish. This day is a perfect example of how we can all LIVE UNITED!
