You're invited to the first-of-its-kind Green Building Tour, hosted by the GMCC Green Committee. Please join us as we tour the LEED* certified McLane Audubon Center in Concord, NH. The tour is free and offers a unique opportunity to view certified green building design practices in action. The tour will begin promptly at 10:45 am.
This is just the first of several green building tours the committee is working on, so stay tuned to your e-mail and the Chamber Report for information on upcoming tours. You may also check the Green Committee Forum calendar for upcoming tour dates.
* The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. LEED certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building project is environmentally responsible, profitable and a healthy place to live and work.
Immediately preceding this tour is a presentation by Paul Leville of the Jordan Institute, entitled "Green Buildings: What they are and why should we build them?" The presentation begins at 9 am and there is a nominal charge to attend. If you are interested in attending this presentation, please contact Heather Rowan at hrowan@officeinteriorsltd.com for additional information.
