This special May Breakfast Forum hosted by the GMCC Green Committee.
According to the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) website, RGGI “is a cooperative effort by 9 Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States to discuss the design of a regional cap-and-trade program initially covering carbon dioxide emissions from power plants in the region. In the future, RGGI may be extended to include other sources of greenhouse gas emissions, and greenhouse gases other than CO2.”
The future is here and House Bill 1434, which allows NH to opt in to RGGI, is on the table!
The effect of regulating greenhouse gases on electricity prices will affect everyone.
Do you understand what this may mean for New Hampshire’s electricity rates?
Will rates increase due to high auction prices or high rebate thresholds?
Are the proper rules and infrastructure in place to handle this change?
Please join us as we ask the experts to explain what impact the Regional Green Housing Gas initiative will have on the business community.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to ask pointed questions and hear a healthy debate on the issue.
