What is Launch? Launch Series is an ongoing educational series focused on valuable topics for startups and early stage companies. Each talk is focused on issues that impact how to start and grow your startup. This is a great opportunity to learn from experts as well as ask questions. About The Talk Successfully navigating a startup is a minefield for founders. The odds are against making it without sustaining a lot of damage along the way. Matt Benson of Cook, Little, Rosenblatt & Manson will be joining us to talk about harsh legal lessons startup founders frequently learn the hard way. During his Launch presentation Matt will cover ten legal headaches you will want to avoid. By learning about, and being mindful of these issues, you stand to save time and not face bigger problems down the road. Presented by Matt Benson, Corporate Attorney at Cook, Little, Rosenblatt & Manson, PLLC Matt Benson is a corporate attorney and advises his business clients on a variety of legal and business issues. He represents entrepreneurs of all types and at all stages of their businesses, from start-up to exit. In his work with start-up and other privately held companies, Matt has counseled his clients on a variety of corporate matters, including entity formation, obtaining angel round financing, venture capital or other debt and/or equity financing, executive and employee compensation, contract issues, equity ownership matters, and exit strategy issues. In addition, he advises his technology-related companies on a wide range of matters specific to them, including software licensing, licensing of intellectual property, and website development matters. He has an AV® Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Peer Review Rating, and is recommended in Chambers USA. He is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars and speaker on a variety of topics that pertain to entrepreneurs and corporate law matters. He serves on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire High Technology Council, is Chair of the NHHTC Entrepreneur Forum Presenter Committee, Chair of the NHHTC Entrepreneur of the Year Committee. He is also a member of the Live Free and Start Advisory Committee, and a member of the Leadership New Hampshire class of 2013-2014.
