The Animal Rescue League of NH (ARLNH), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in 1904, supports more than 2,000 pets and the people who care for them each year. More than a shelter, ARLNH goes beyond adoption and surrender services to provide a wide range of community outreach programs. With a focus on maintaining the human-animal bond and keep animals in their loving homes, many of these initiatives are designed to assist pet owners who are facing challenges in providing care, including a Pet Food Pantry, and low-cost spay/neuter clinics. ARLNH does not receive state or federal funding and relies entirely on the generosity of its supporters to sustain its programs and mission. While many services are available to all residents of New Hampshire, the organization maintains a focus on twenty-two communities surrounding Bedford, NH.
