Event Description:
Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth in Greater Manchester with the values of respect, responsibility, and community through free athletic, enrichment, and intervention programs. Each year, more than 650 young people ages 5–18 find a safe, supportive space at MPAL where they can build positive relationships with law enforcement officers, adult mentors with shared life experience, volunteer coaches and caring community members. From boxing, martial arts, and skateboarding to cooking classes, girls’ empowerment, and accredited court diversion programs, MPAL provides opportunities that encourage youth to thrive both inside and outside the gym.

Please join us at the Michael Briggs Community Center at 409 Beech Street where you’ll enjoy a short presentation about MPAL’s mission, programs, upcoming events and learn about the impact our CHOICES mentorship program has made in Manchester. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour our facility, including our state-of-the-art boxing training gym, and learn more about the work happening every day at MPAL.

Lunch will be provided.
