Event Description:
Founded as the Manchester Children’s Home in 1884, the Webster House is a trauma-informed residential group home for youth requiring intermediate counseling services. We provide a supportive home for children who are unable to live at home for reasons of abuse, neglect, addiction, homelessness, or difficulties in the community. We are contracted with the Department of Health and Human Services and have children between the ages of 8 and 20 living at the house who are primarily referred to us through DCYF. We can house up to 19 children at a time.

Over the past 141 years we have given several thousand children, New Hampshire’s most vulnerable youth, a second chance by providing them a safe and nurturing home. Our well trained staff provide the highest level of care to our residents, 24 hours every day and 365 days per year. We nurture these at-risk youth through trauma-informed care. We provide stability and structure, while rebuilding self-esteem, confidence, and independent living skills. We take the kids to school, appointments, fun social activities, celebrate birthdays, graduations and holidays with them just like we do with our own children.

Our Webster House mission is to maintain a nurturing, sustainable home where children feel safe, supported, empowered, and inspired to grow. Our vision is to provide the children with a supportive environment where they can flourish and develop the skills necessary for lifelong success.

Join us on our journey to increase the visibility of the Webster House mission and vision in our community. Lunch will be provided, as well as the opportunity to meet key leaders within Webster House. If you are interested in a tour, please wear comfortable and safe shoes as we walk around our old home.
