Philanthropist Raymond Cote To Be Honored

The Moore Center Garden Party, a highlight of the Greater Manchester social calendar and one of The Moore Center’s major fundraisers, will take place Thursday, June 19th, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Brady Sullivan Tower, 1750 Elm Street.

 

Over 400 guests gather to honor a person or persons who have made a positive impact on our community.  This year’s honoree will be Raymond Cote, a long-time Manchester resident, philanthropist and former president of Harvey Construction.  The honorary chairperson for the event is Bill Stevens, president, Harvey Construction.

 

Past honorees include Ethel and Saul Greenspan, The McIninch Family, Adelaide L. Walker, Frances M. and Richard I. Winneg, Lewis M. Feldstein, James C. Schubert, David P. and Dorothy M. Goodwin, Beverly Arel, Ronald J. Rioux, Brady Sullivan Properties – Arthur Sullivan, Shane Brady and David Brady, Frederick B. Kfoury Jr., Nicholas Vailas and Former Governor John Lynch and Dr. Susan E. Lynch.

 

Cote worked for Harvey Construction for 30 years and has been actively involved in the community with numerous organizations, including New Horizons of NH soup kitchen, Easter Seals Veterans Count and the Bishops Annual Fund.  Cote was named Citizen of the Year by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce in 1992.  He is retired from the NH National Guard.

 

The Moore Center serves the families and individuals of Greater Manchester. Throughout its history, the agency has provided individualized services directed at enhancing each person’s quality of life.

 

The Moore Center hosts the Garden Party fundraiser each year to support individuals with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders and others with intellectual, developmental and personal challenges. This year’s proceeds will benefit The Moore Center’s autism services.
