Time: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
David Surette and “Northern Roots” will present a free evening concert of Celtic and folk music Wednesday, July 12, 7:30 pm at the Concord Community Music School. This concert, presented in partnership with the Concord Parks and Recreation Department, is made possible through the generosity of Northeast Delta Dental. The performance will be in the Fletcher Murphy Park behind the School, on the corner of Fayette and South Streets. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic dinner. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved inside to the Community Room. Surette, of South Berwick, Maine, directs the Music School’s folk program. Known throughout New England contra dance, Celtic and folk music circles for his work on the mandolin, guitar and bouzouki, his most recent recording is “Northern Roots,” a solo CD released last summer.
