On May 18, 2016, the U.S. Department of Labor ("DOL") published final regulations changing who is exempt from overtime payments under the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"). The regulations will change how 4.2 million workers are classified and will affect almost every employer. The final rule will become effective on December 1, 2016, giving employers only six months to comply. Please join Hinckley Allen's labor and employment group to discuss the details of the final rules, how it will impact your business, and strategies you can use to prepare for the changes.
This workshop will be from 12:00pm-1:30pm. Lunch will be served from 12:00pm-12:30pm with a full hour set aside for educational programming on this important topic.
