Fundraising is officially underway for the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire’s (ARLNH) 2nd Annual Shelter Slumber Pawty, and the community is invited to join the fun while making a difference for animals in need. Think back to the best parts of childhood slumber parties: staying up late, sharing snacks, playing games, and laughing with friends. Now add in adorable, tail-wagging (and purr-filled) companions to the mix. On Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., ARLNH in Bedford will host this feel-good, eight-hour “pawty,” part of the nationwide National Shelter Slumber Pawty initiative, bringing shelters together to raise funds and awareness for homeless pets.
Throughout the day, pre-registered participants will hang out, unwind, and “pawty” alongside shelter pets, enjoying activities and plenty of furry companionship, all while helping raise critical funds to support the animals’ care and well-being. Leading up to the event and at the event itself, participants are encouraged to raise $1,000 by reaching out to friends, family, and their social media networks to help fundraise and spread the word. It is a chance to have fun, make memories, and be part of something truly meaningful.
“We are delighted to host this special event again for its second year,” said Marianne Jones, CEO of ARLNH. “Last year, we raised more than $16,900 to support the animals in our care, and this year we are striving to reach $20,000. The Shelter Slumber Pawty offers a fun and meaningful way to make a difference. Together, we can reach our goal for the animals.”
Community members are encouraged to join the excitement by making a donation or exploring sponsorship opportunities. Every contribution helps provide care, comfort, and second chances for animals who need it most.
