Hinckley Allen Promotes Five Partners and Counsel for 2025
Hinckley Allen is pleased to announce five attorneys have been promoted to partner and counsel, effective January 1, 2025. Lindsey Peterson Black, Rebecca F. Briggs, Tara Singh, and Timothy M. Zabbo are now partners, and Nicholas A. Denice has been elevated to counsel.

Lindsey Peterson Black (Manchester, NH) focuses her practice on all aspects of the construction law industry. She has represented general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, project owners, and suppliers in various construction-related matters. Black routinely advises clients on contract drafting and negotiation, payment issues, liens, construction and design defect claims, delay claims, litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution. She counsels clients on best practices for avoiding litigation and minimizing risk and represents clients in federal and state court, appellate court, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution.
Rebecca F. Briggs (Providence, RI) concentrates on complex business litigation with a particular focus on intellectual property disputes. She litigates matters including patent, trade secret, copyright, and trademark suits. Briggs also has extensive experience litigating an array of commercial matters, including contract disputes and employment law issues. She routinely represents parties in non-compete and employment discrimination cases in federal and state courts and agencies.
Tara Singh (Boston, MA) advises clients in internal and government-initiated investigations and complex civil litigation. Her experience includes representing clients in matters involving the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback violations concerning off-label promotion, Medicare supervision requirements, HIPAA violations, and federal securities laws. In addition, Singh has experience litigating commercial landlord and tenant disputes, as well as advising financial institutions on matters involving state and federal privacy laws.
Timothy M. Zabbo (Providence, RI) is a trusted and experienced attorney with a diverse and dynamic practice, handling various civil litigation matters in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut in both state and federal courts. He has extensive experience litigating commercial, product liability, toxic tort, and negligence cases. He represents manufacturers, distributors, and premises defendants in asbestos claims throughout New England. He is national coordinating counsel and regional trial counsel to an electrical products manufacturer. Zabbo has also represented cosmetic manufacturers in talc/asbestos litigation. He defends developers, architects, engineers, and contractors in cases alleging negligent construction in addition to property and business owners in premise liability claims.
Nicholas A. Denice (Providence, RI) focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and corporate governance. He has broad financial expertise as a Certified Public Accountant. His transactional experience ranges from representing companies in mergers, acquisitions, and recapitalizations, including asset and stock deals on both the buy-side and sell-side. Denice represents companies in all stages of business, including emerging and developing companies, established private middle-market businesses, and public companies.
These promotions are part of Hinckley Allen's ongoing growth and expansion. The firm opened its eighth office in St. Louis Metro / Madison County, IL, in December 2024 with a complex product liability and toxic tort matters team of eleven. In February 2024, the firm opened its seventh office in Fort Lauderdale, which resulted from the merger with a prominent Florida construction law firm.
